Hi folks. Well we were to stay one more night in New Mexico. Our friends Bill and Jan were an hour in front of us and called and said the place was a dump. So we continued on. When we crossed over the mountain into Colorado we were greeted with the most beautiful view that you could ever imagine. It was like Colorado said Howdy and Welcome. Our site overlooks the lake and the back drop is the snow capped Colorado Rockies. Plus there are miles of trails to run - and we have. I did carry the camera one day and took a few pictures to share. One spot we like is called Stonehendge. ???? Not everyone that comes to this park ever sees this place. You have to be adverturest. Some of the folks that have traveled this trail has built their own stonehenge. So did we. Then one night we built a nice fire and roasted marshmellows - made smores - drank wine then ate hotdogs. It was a fun evening.
Now for the bad news. Karens mother has lung cancer. I flew Karen home to be with her mother today. So for now our trip is on hold. I will fly home on the 13th and fly back alone on the 20th. My plan is to stay here till mid June. If we continue on we will make a mad dash to Alaska - skip California, Or and Wa. Or I will head home. Right now I really miss my wife. You can love someone and be happy. But when you are stuck up each other butt 24-7 you really grow stronger. My other half is not here - I miss her. Pray for Connie. Love and Miss you all
