We left Florida on Monday Jan 26 (?) we arrived home 2 days later. 1250 miles - that was a hike. We left 65 to 80 degree weather. Karen got to hold Russel. Practicing for Lucas. Rita and Eugene were great host. The fish fry, fishing and gambling. We had fun, thanks. Its only been above freezing a few days since we arrived home. Plus we have had 4 snow events. Not flurries - events. I'm bumping 60 and I have never seen snow and wind like this. Next year around November there will be a surge to the population on the east coast. We left Florida - what were we thinking.
Karen started a new job. I am still waiting for my Black Jack and Craps Table school to start.
Enjoy the pictures I am going to post.

Dolphins, Sanibel Island, Englewood Beach
Hi Folks. Lets see the weather has finally changed. The nights are 55 and the days hit the mid 70's to 80. NICE !!! I've attached a picture of where our RV is parked. Its a little tight but its clean and quite. We have spent time with Rita and Eugene. Fishing in his boat and enjoying Englewood Beach. We had dinner with Karens friends (who she worked with when she lived here). We've been running and eating way to much. Today we biked to Sanibel Island (14 mile round trip). Karen packed a nice lunch which we ate on the beach. We enjoyed the sun and looked for shells. There are tons of shells and star fish. I would recommend Sanibel Island as a vacation spot. Country Courte, Shells Point, just this side of Sanibel.

Kayaking and Netting Fish
Hi Folks. Well we've been here 7 days now. Every night it has hit freezing. Most days the temp moves from 32 to 46 to 56, with 10 mph wind. Today it hit 63 with a slight breeze. The water temp is so cold that a good many fish are dying. A few days ago I was catching them bare handed. Today I took the landing net. Lets see, 4 Snook, 1 Sheeps Head and 3 Sand Perch. One of the Snook was over 30 inches and ripped right thru my net. Yesterday we visited Gale and Jay, Jenn and Russell. Russell is a "long baby". Cute kid. The day before that we visited Rita and Eugene. They took us to a Casino. I hit a straight flush for 560.00. Yes I left with their money. Oh, the next morning I found a ten dollar bill while running. The rest of the week, and I hope the rest of this trip, the weather should get better. Eugene and I are going out in his boat saturday. Looking forward to that. Yes, Snook taste good. We did spend a few hours on Sanabiel Island...Beautiful...I looked for shells. We are going there tomorrow. Last night I told Karen to come to bed. Cleo jumped on the bed and flopped down. She spent the night with us...its cold. Take Care Tom & Karen

Manatees and Kayaking
Yesterday we visited a local park next to a power plant. Manatees in the area frequent the power plant waters when the temperature drops. Once it warms up a little we will go back to the park and kayak with them. Today we ran from our RV park to Bunge Beach. We then ran as far as we could along the beach. The tide was really low so we walked the beach back to the road. We found a lot of shells and a star fish. We ran back, ate some lunch then headed back to kayak the bay and mangroves. The tide was still out so we pulled the kayaks across the beach and headed out. We paddled a few hundred yards up the beach then cut back into the mangroves. We saw lots of birds. Then I managed to catch 3 fish with my bare hands. The water is cold and the tropical fish are having a tough time. They swim the surface. I'll go back tomorrow with the landing net. Sounds like fresh fish for dinner. 60 degrees today, suppose to be 70 tomorrow. Sorry

Florida Week 1, 2010 Fort Myers
Hi Everyone. We are back on the road for a month. We left Thursday, New Years Eve, we woke up to 3 to 4 inches of new snow. But we pulled in the anchor, loaded up the druged up Kitty and left. Traveling with the Kitty. this is a first. So far so good. We spent the first night in NC, the 2nd in Ga (just over the Florida line). We are now in Fort Myers, Groves RV park. Its a little tight, but very clean, quite. We're 2 miles from the beach. We plan on Kayaking tomorrow. The temp got up to 55 today and very sunny. We just need the wind to calm down.
Check out the new pics. Everyone take care
